More about the trio:

Dave FisherDave Fisher:  vocals and acoustic guitar
His experienced hand at fingerpicking and flat-picking styles provides the foundation of all the music; the rhythm and harmonic accompaniment.  Flat picked melodies played while still playing rhythm guitar is his prevalent style, very much like the old time and bluegrass traditions.  His songs include traditional Americana, sometimes called folk music, classic country & western, country blues, gospel, and even down home mountain music.  Having lived much of his life in the Rocky Mountain state one should not be surprised that he knows some cowboy songs, like (in tribute to Gene Autry) "Back in the Saddle Again," for example, along with many others.  You could say that Dave Fisher, who has an ample repertory of music which he can perform solo, comprises the cowboy part of the trio.

Ramblin' Doc AllenRamblin' Doc Allen:  harmonica and tin whistle
Lloyd Allen is known in some circles by this name given him by an old friend, a harmonica player as well, because "every real harmonica player must have a nickname."  Sometimes, he employs blues harps to accompany his partners, but mostly he plays in straight folk style.  He also plays tin whistle, not only on the traditional Celtic jigs, reels, hornpipes and airs, but also, in place of a fiddle, on the American dance reels like "Whiskey Before Breakfast" and "Arkansas Traveler" as well as on a number of old time standards which are seldom heard on a whistle.

Anita NeidererAnita Niederer:  bass fiddle and vocals

Anita’s main instrument in this group is the bass fiddle.  She has been playing it since high school where she played in the school band.  In college she played in the orchestra and also in a gospel music group that toured for two summers.  When she married, she discovered blue grass, as that was one of her husband’s passions, so she has played a wide variety of music with the bass.  Playing with the Celtic Cowboys has led her into a new genre of music which she thoroughly enjoys performing.
